Houston, TX – September 30, 2005 —

Dr. Bernard Harris, President and Chief Executive Officer of Vesalius Ventures, Inc., an innovative telemedicine venture accelerator, announced today that Hans Stromeyer, principal and chief technology officer has joined the Vesalius portfolio company, Monebo Technologies.

Dr. Stromeyer will serve as Vice President and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for the company. As Monebo expands its presence into the cardiovascular disease marketplace, his medical expertise will guide the company as they develop their cardiac monitoring and assessment technology.

Monebo is developing a highly accurate heart monitoring system that can be used anytime, anywhere, consisting of a simple chest strap that transmits wirelessly to a cell phone or home computer. The company recently received clearance by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its Intelligent ECG Algorithm. The algorithm offers a unique solution to the detection of arrhythmias of the heart through interpretation of a patient’s electrocardiogram (ECG) on a beat-by-beat basis.

“This was a major milestone for the company, which positions it well against the competition,” says Dr. Harris. “When Vesalius identifies disruptive technology like Monebo’s, we actively support the company for growth to secure positioning in the market. Based on his experience in Telemedicine, Hans is highly qualified and has the necessary skills to accomplish this.”

The Monebo technology will be licensed to medical device companies worldwide for incorporation into products that monitor cardiac electrical activity. Monebo’s proprietary digital signal processing algorithms, highly developed sensor technology, and wireless communication capabilities provide real-time monitoring information, with increased patient mobility.
